Hi! I’m Valerie Fry, a dedicated learning and development professional who believes that with technology everyone can have access to the highest quality education and never stop learning. My learning material (online, in person or a mix of both) is engaging, informative, impactful, enjoyable and provides applicable knowledge to impact performance.
I have over a decade of instructional design experience across various industries (Health, Construction, Legal, Association Management, Finance) and know the ins and outs of turning complex content into engaging learning material. I have my masters in educational technology from George Washington University, am experienced in the whole spectrum of the learning and training world - from needs assessments, storyboarding, scripting, design and development, facilitation, training and implementation of web-based or instructor-led programs for organizations large and small.
While the majority of my work has been in building eLearning courses (asynchronous web-based training), I also develop and deliver synchronous training for both in-person and virtual classrooms.
My instructional design career began as a computer literacy teacher in Burkina Faso with the Peace Corps. I love learning, am constantly looking for new adventures outdoors, in books, films and food, and strive to lead a life that positively effects change in our world. Visit my LinkedIn profile for more information on my professional background.
